Poor Pam! What kind of truck did Pam collide with? I thought is was a gasoline truck, but it looks more like a freight truck.
Perhaps she slammed into the moving van carrying Donna’s belongings to D.C.
That is a good observation, it should have been a gasoline truck or oil tanker, but doesn’t look like either. So why did Pam’s car explode when it crashed into it?
The answer, I think, is because Leonard Katzman liked to blow up stuff.
I thought it was ret-conned into a Ryland truck.
I saw someone float that theory on the the Ultimate Dallas forum, it would have been an interesting way to tie Ryland into the continuity of the original series. But it was just a fan theory.
Someone made a similar suggestion here. What if Harris and Katherine cooked up the scheme to injure Pam? I still think it would’ve been a cool twist, although the backstory would probably have been lost on newer viewers.
What a neat twist that would’ve been, Dan. I’m guessing it’s not going to happen now. Probably time to let poor Pam rest in peace.
