Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy, Charlene Tilton and Steve Kanaly will headline two fan events in March to mark the 40th anniversary of “Dallas’s” debut.

“Southfork Fan Day” will be held Friday, March 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas. This event will feature a meet-and-greet with the actors, along with tours of the ranch and its museum. Fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Ewing for a chance to win prizes.

A “Dallas Fan Party” will be held Saturday, March 31, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas. This event will feature live entertainment from country musician Neal McCoy, food and drink, and interviews with the cast moderated by Jody Dean, a local radio host. There will also be “Dallas” trivia and prizes.

Tickets are $125 per person and include admission to both events. Tickets are on sale at Dallas40.com.

“Dallas” debuted April 2, 1978.

The events are sponsored by VisitDallas, a tourism group, and Southfork Ranch. The Feb. 1 news release has more information.

40 years?!?!?! Didn’t I just buy that 30th anniversary DVD a couple years ago? When do these things become so old? Are we becoming old? Here’s hoping this gets documented in some way for those of us who can’t attend. If not a DVD this time around, perhaps a YouTube channel? And a tribute to those lost since the 30th is in order.

  2. Jaime Ewing says:

How are they going to control the crowd chaos that took over the 30th Anniversary BBQ at Southfork? Four hours on Friday is not a lot of time for fan meet and greets. And why no other cast members? I get that Victoria doesn’t participate, Ken might be too old to participate, Larry, Barbara, and Howard Keel are no longer with us, and Jim’s been gone 35 years already – but what about Susan Howard (Donna) and Priscilla Presley (Jenna)? Both were main cast members – Susan practically from the beginning. I’d really love to see them both added. Not to mention Sheree J. Wilson.

  3. How about Ken Kercheval? He is not going to attend the reunion. Do you know the reason,Chris?

  5. mary rose says:

what channel be on and can go there see it ? and is there be season 4 of the new dallas show write soon please?

    • Hi Mary. As far as I know, these events will not be on TV. They are events that fans can attend in person. I have no information about a fourth season of the show, unfortunately.

  6. 40 years, we need a Reunion show or a new series, its been to long.

  7. Gary Richard Collins II says:

This is going to be a great reunion, I’m not attending. However, no Larry Hagman or Barbara Bel Geddes at the reunion, however, they’ll always be remembered. I love the show, amongst many others. Happy 40. BTW, I might have a question for Patrick, “Why was Barbara (Bel Geddes) a consummate pro.?”

  8. I was honored to work background on set during most of the 12th season of “Dallas”. I visited with Howard Keel, George Kennedy, Patrick, Linda, Larry, and all the casts and crews in several episodes all over Dallas, and surrounding cities. I was a young actor then and have continued working on movies and TV shows since the late 80’s. I have been involved in the local Dallas film community, and major films being filmed in Texas. My latest film won first place in the California Film Awards last month. My work on “Dallas” has given me the opportunity and motivation to continue film making. Thanks for the opportunity Sue Raagas(casting assistant) for bringing me on the show, and Michael Preece for making me look good on camera. Hope to make it to the get together.

  9. I was there. It was fantastic 🙂
