#DallasChat Daily: Which Cousin is a Better Businessman?

Christopher Ewing, Dallas, Jesse Metcalfe, John Ross Ewing, Josh Henderson, TNT

Cousins John Ross and Christopher Ewing differ in almost every way, including their approach to business. When TNT’s “Dallas” began, John Ross was determined to drill for oil on Southfork, while Christopher tried to move the family into alternative energy production. This season, when Cliff Barnes interfered with Ewing Global business, John Ross tried to raise capital for the company by “fracking” Southfork, while Christopher focused on neutralizing Cliff by digging up dirt on his proxy, Nicolas Treviño.

I think that, like JR and Bobby before them, JRIII and Christopher are both good businessmen, they just have different ways of going about it, in other words, John Ross does business like JR in an underhanded way and Christopher, like Bobby, tries to do business mostly on the up and up with an occasional detour into JR territory!

  2. Cousin John Ross is certainly better at gladhanding.& lining up the closing section of the deals. II me though, Cousin Christopher brings a certain finesse to his dealings as he is quite forthright and thinks of both himself, his business partner(s), as well as what is good for society, including the environment as a whole. Sure Daddy Bobby adopted him, but he has his adopted Daddy’s ethical & moral compass. Combine this with John Ross’s snake venom charm & the attributes of both could make Ewing Global unstoppable!

  3. I think they both are great businessmen John Ross more like his Daddy and Christopher does business more like Bobby handles business

  4. Garnet McGee says:

Who is the more interesting businessman? John Ross. Which character is played by the superior actor? John Ross. John Ross may be sexy and more entertaining but he is a terrible business man. His business strategy is built on quicksand or perhaps a house of cards. Christopher owns a valuable patent and has a creative mind. His idea is the basis for the company. Christopher is capable of conducting business not only for the bottom line but the greater good. John Ross may win in the short term but his strategy will always hurt those around him. He is just like his daddy in that way.
