Bottoms up
“Dallas” debuted 39 years ago today, while Dallas Decoder started on this day five years ago. How time flies!
To mark the occasion, I’ve added fresh images to our front page, and I plan to share some publicity stills from “Dallas’s” first season on social media throughout April. I also hope to get back to regular postings on Dallas Decoder sooner rather than later.
Thanks to everyone who reads this site and shares their love of the Ewings and the Barneses. I look forward to joining you to celebrate “Dallas’s” biggest milestone yet — its 40th anniversary — now just one year away!

Bring it back to classic tv
How about #DallasChat again? 🙂
Yes, I hope to do one soon!
Thank you for your website. Always liked the show. But you and your websites, especially in your reviews of each episode made me watch the show again. I just re-started watching the classic show yet again. Currently I’m at episode 98. For each episode watched I read your review. Thanks for putting this all together and make watching the show even more fun.
This is very nice. Thanks Q-Less!
I didn’t get to watch the show “live” as I was born in ’86, but as soon as reruns began appearing on TNN and then Soap Net, I tuned in and have been hooked since. I remember entertaining my sisters by continuously reenacting when Bobby was hit by the car, driven by Catherine, and I would leap over my bed over and over again lol.
Just tell me at some point the critique project for CBS Dallas will continue.
Yes! Although I kind of want to start from the beginning. ….
It’s always easier to look forward to the groundbreaking early years. I’d say just get the undone ones out of the way first.
I love dallas !
#SaveDallas
I Love Dallas.I started watching this marvelous show in Brazil in 1984.
I didn’t start watching Dallas till into the 2nd season. I refused to watch a silly ole nighttime soap opera. That was till one Friday night there was nothing else on. I was immediately hooked on my TV hero J. R. & all of his hottt Baby Dolls!
