For me their best scene was at the Cattle Baron’s Ball, when JR tells her she is still the prettiest gal at the ball! And Sue Ellen wasn’t sure how to react to that! I could tell that he still loved her when he said that and it seemed totally genuine on his part.

Yes, yes! I loved that scene! To J.R., Sue Ellen WAS “still the prettiest girl at the Cattle Baron’s Ball.” After all those years, and after all that happened, they still loved each other. Then, Sue Ellen read J.R.’s love letter at his funeral in which it revealed that he wanted to “try again” with her and she would have said “Yes.” No wonder Sue Ellen started drinking again!
the best scene with JR and Sue Ellen,is when she finally got the upperhand on JR himself,when she set up mandy winger,and JR was forced to dump mandy,and he appraised sue ellen for it,and the other is when sue ellen made a movie their lives together,and blackmail him,to leave her alone,and that if he ever decided to come after her again,she would release the video.
Can’t pick one from old Dallas (there’s too many). But in new Dallas it’s when he gets Sue Ellen off the bribery charges and she invites him in for tea ( I totally wish we’d seen that on the show).

There are many good scenes of JR and Sue Ellen from the original and the new version. The one scene that I like was from the first season of Dallas on TNT. I believe its the 9th episode when JR returns to Southfork about Bobby’s condition. Sue Ellen arrives at Southfork and learns from John Ross that JR is back home.
JR sees Sue Ellen enter his room and says,”Sue Ellen, you have to help me get into see Bobby, wife no. 3 is at the door and she’s packing heat”.
Sue Ellen then slaps JR across the face. “You leave a path of destruction every where you go”, Sue Ellen says.
It’s probably one of the classic moments in the new Dallas that I like and also the moment when they were at the Cattle Barons Ball when JR and Sue Ellen meet again.
My favorite scene was the one where JR says “you’ve won and I for one couldn’t be happier”. He treated her like dirt in the original so it was so fulfilling to see him apologize and admit that he was wrong and treated her in a way she didn’t deserve.
Sue Ellen was absolutely the love of his life. No Winger, no Beaumont, no Harper ever came close.
