Everyone loves the weddings on the original “Dallas.” Do you have a favorite?

Was it Lucy and Mitch’s 1981 extravaganza, or Miss Ellie and Clayton’s understated 1984 affair? How about J.R. and Sue Ellen’s remarriage in 1982, or Bobby and Pam’s second-time-around in 1986? Perhaps you prefer J.R. and Cally’s union in 1989, or Bobby and April’s 1990 nuptials?

My favorite wedding, without question, was JR’s and Sue Ellen’s 2nd marriage when everyone or almost everyone wound up in the pool! That was so much fun to watch!

  2. I really liked Pam and Bobby’s wedding for the flashbacks to their first marriage. It was kinda cool to see the events that immediately preceded the very first episode! Other than seeing Rebecca as a young mother I can’t really think of any other flashbacks of events that preceded the show except for the Early Years miniseries.

  3. Pam and Mark in 1986

  4. I liked how the 1st guy Lucy was going II marry was gay. What I don’t like is that 37 years later & folks are still against gay marriage? I mean who does it harm C.B. & Miss Jenny? If 2 folks love eachother then who cares if they are the same sex or the opposite sex in terms of gender?

I would agree with you, R.J. about the whole gay marriage thing, but I am a faithful, practicing Catholic and as such follow the Church’s teaching on the subject.
