Bobby Ewing, Dallas, John Ross Ewing, Josh Henderson, Patrick Duffy, TNT

The Primetime Emmy nominations will be announced this week, and Patrick Duffy is a contender for a dramatic actor nod. Which one of his scenes this season impressed you most?

Was it the lesson Bobby delivered to John Ross on the plight of the lesser prairie chicken? How about the scene where Bobby turned the tables on Nicolas after Nicolas tried to get Rhonda to turn against the Ewings? What about the scene where Bobby shouted at Ann after discovering she covered up Emma and John Ross’s affair?

  1. Jennifer Irons says:

I loved all the scenes he was in but his best, to me, was when Bobby showed John Ross the lesser prairie chicken in order for JRIII to reconsider fracking on SF! That scene was too funny! But Patrick’s scenes are all excellent, IMHO!

    • Dan in WI says:

No doubt about it. Patrick played that scene just right. But credit Josh here too. You don’t think of this as one of his great scenes because his share of the script didn’t have zingers. But Patrick needed Josh’s performance here in order to deliver his.

  2. The prairie chicken scene was subtle, but enough to annoy his nephew by just the right amount

  3. Marilyn Hadey says:

WHEN HE GOES AND TELLS JOHN ROSS OFF OF NOT BEING ALLOWED TO DIG FOR OIL

  5. Garnet McGee says:

He had so few good scenes this season but yes the chicken scene was his best. He is being given the same scene to play over and over again and it is getting old.

  6. When Bobby tells Ann he wants Emma out of Southfork.

What do you think?
